Meet Jefferson! This sensitive guy came to us from a home with a few other dachshunds, and and he lived a bit of a sheltered life before coming into our care. New people, environments, and other dogs can be scary for him initially, so he's looking for an adopter in a lower-traffic environment who is ready to meet him where he's at and let him set the pace as he settles in. Jefferson would also benefit from getting started on a weight loss plan to ensure he is comfortable and healthy long-term! Jefferson could live with another mellow dog, potentially cats, and children who have great shy dog skills!
