About Brodie
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Brodie is a 4- to 5-year-old dachshund who perfectly balances being a heart-stealer and a champion cuddler. With his soulful eyes, adorable waddle, and irresistibly soft fur, Brodie is simply hard to resist. He loves people deeply, thriving on affection and company, whether curled up next to you for movie night or accompanying you for gentle walks—the most important thing to Brodie is being by your side. As is common with his breed, Brodie has some unique quirks. He occasionally experiences seizures, which are currently well-managed with a high-quality diet, and recent veterinary bloodwork shows nothing of concern. He also has some mild neurological delay in his back legs and may need back surgery in the future. Meanwhile, Brodie requires physical therapy (which you’ll be guided through) and should stay away from stairs and high-impact activities; short, gentle walks suit him best. His successful weight loss has already improved both his mobility and energy levels. Brodie might need extra attention and ongoing care, but he gives an abundance of love in return. He’s sweet, steady, and bursting with character. Brodie will do best in a calm home with someone familiar with dachshunds, offering him the safe, affectionate environment he deserves. If you are seeking a loyal buddy who will brighten your days with his loving personality and quirks, Brodie could be your perfect match. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Brodie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Dachshunds typically do well in homes or apartments with attentive owners. They thrive in environments where they can spend plenty of time with their people, as they are affectionate and dislike being left alone for long periods.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Dachshunds enjoy short walks and some playtime in a secure yard, but they do not require extensive outdoor space. They are well-suited to households without large yards as long as they receive daily exercise.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Dachshunds are generally good with older children when introduced properly, thanks to their playful and affectionate nature. They may be better suited to families who teach children how to gently interact with pets, since dachshunds can be sensitive to rough handling.
