About Dax
Your new best friend is just one click away. Meet Dax, the wrinkly-faced, nub-tailed sweetheart you didn’t know you needed! At 2 years old and around 48 pounds, this endearing bloodhound/coondog mix is a champion of wiggly greetings and cuddly moments that will warm your heart. With his non-stop wagging nub tail and those lovable, floppy ears, Dax’s gentle nature shines through from the very first hello. Dax is passionate about his toys—whether it’s stuffed animals or squeaky favorites, he’s always ready to play. While he can be a little shy at first with new canine friends, he quickly warms up and loves having a buddy to share his romps. His playful energy is perfectly balanced; he enjoys bouts of zoomies in the morning and evening but is just as happy to cozy up for leisurely naps with his people or foster sibling. Long walks, park outings, and car rides are some of his favorite pastimes—especially when followed by a tasty pupscicle! Dax has happily lived alongside other dogs and would thrive in a home with a furry companion. He’d likely do great with older, dog-savvy children too. Since he isn’t crate trained and sometimes gets into mischief if left alone, Dax will do best in a home where someone is frequently present or where he has a canine friend to keep him company and ease his worries. He does have an enlarged heart, but his cardiologist assures it’s not a concern right now. In true Dax fashion, his big, loving heart is perfectly fitting for a pup who has so much affection to give. Whether it’s a morning play session, friendly greetings, savoring his favorite treats, or curling up for a cozy nap, Dax is ready to fill your days with joy and unwavering loyalty. If you are searching for a devoted companion with a heart as big as his smile, Dax is ready to join your family and share a lifetime of cuddles. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
