About Tootsie
Meet Tootsie This gorgeous 2-year-old, 21 lb black Frenchie is equal parts playful charm and snuggly sidekick. Tootsie is the kind of girl who will happily zoom around with her dog friends one minute... and be curled up next to you the next. Truly the best of both worlds. She's crate trained and doing amazing with her potty training-just needs a consistent routine to finish strong. She's incredibly friendly, loves everyone she meets, and gets along great with other dogs. Basically, she didn't get the memo on stranger danger. Like many Frenchies, Tootsie is working through some skin allergies, but she's already on the right track and improving with proper care. After not being given the love and attention she deserved early on, she's absolutely thriving now-and it shows in how sweet and affectionate she is. She's looking for a home that will keep her on a good routine, continue her care, and most importantly... treat her like the little queen she is. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, slightly goofy best friend who will stick by your side (and probably follow you room to room), Tootsie is your girl. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. ***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
