Danielle is a sweet, cuddly little girl with a gentle heart and loving soul. She absolutely adores having her hair softly brushed and will happily curl up in your lap for snuggles. If you're looking for a quiet companion who just wants to be close to her person, Danielle may be your perfect match. She can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and becomes incredibly affectionate once she feels safe. When she hears a funny or unfamiliar noise, she tilts her head as if she's trying to figure out exactly what's going on - it's one of her cutest little quirks! Danielle is leash trained, crate trained, and does well in the car. She enjoys toys, water, lap time, and being near her people. She has moderate energy but is generally a calm and quiet girl, even in her kennel. Her story is a sad one. Danielle's owners were deported, and the remaining relatives did not want to keep her. She was understandably confused and scared at first. When she arrived, she hesitated at her food, unsure of what was happening. But after a few minutes, she gathered her courage, ate her meal, and had some water - showing just how resilient she truly is. Danielle does well with adult women, children over 10, and both big and small dogs. However, she doesn't require a companion. As long as she has her person, she is perfectly content. She is used to being an inside family member - sleeping with her people and relaxing on the furniture - and she would love to be part of a family again. She is quiet, loving, gentle, and ready to give her whole heart to someone who will cherish her forever. Danielle is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 03/07/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.
