Meet Pound Cake! Living with her brother, Lemon, this sweet, fluffy ball of sass is leading the way- and even teaching her brother confidence! This absolute doll came into rescue after a family requested help rehoming their mama dog's puppies. Mom was reported to be a poodle mix, with dad unknown. Based on their growth so far, we expect the litter to mature into mediumsized dogs. In addition to her brother, Pound Cake lives with three other dogs ranging from 10-70 pounds. She also shares her foster home with a cat and is determined to learn her cat manners (spoiler: both puppies still have a bit to learn). Pound Cake loves to run around and initiate play with Lemon and the other dogs in the home. She enjoys all kinds of toys, but her favorites are anything she can play tugofwar with- especially if her brother is on the other end! This little lady plays hard and naps hard. She has confidently taken on the role of trailblazer, teaching her brother how to play, how to interact with humans, and even how to climb stairs. While another dog in her permanent home would be a bonus, Pound Cake appears confident enough that it is not a requirement. When unsupervised, Pound Cake stays in a crate with an attached puppy pen. She may whine for a few minutes if her brother isn't nearby, but she settles quickly and does very well.
