This shy and sweet boy came into rescue with his sisters after a family requested help rehoming their mama dog's puppies. Mom was reported to be a poodle mix, with dad unknown. Based on their growth so far, we expect the litter to mature into medium-sized dogs. Lemon is currently living with his sister, Pound Cake, along with three adult dogs ranging from 10-70 pounds- and he absolutely loves playing with them all! He is also learning polite cat manners in his foster home. Of the litter, Lemon is the more timid puppy. He's slower to seek out affection or play, but he's quickly discovering that both people and other dogs can be a lot of fun. Once he warms up, his personality starts to shine. Lemon loves toys, especially soft, fluffy ones that he can toss around and entertain himself with. When unsupervised, Lemon stays in a crate with an attached pen and does very well. Even when left alone (he lives with his sister), he may whine briefly before settling down and quietly relaxing. Like most puppies, Lemon has bursts of high energy followed by an enthusiastic need for a battery recharge-naps included! Lemon would thrive in a patient, loving home that can help him continue building confidence and discovering how wonderful the world can be.
