It’s nice out, and 49-pound Ricky is looking for a friend to spend spring days with! Ricky has lots of energy and would love to find an active household so he can join in on hikes, runs, or lots of fetch in the backyard. Here at the shelter, Ricky has come on quite strong when meeting other dogs and may benefit from working with a trainer to support cohesive integration if he’s not going to be the only dog in the home (which he may prefer). Ricky has reportedly lived with children of all ages in his previous home, and may enjoy having kids in his life again. Bring your whole family – any canines included! – along to meet Ricky to help assure potential compatibility. While Ricky has demonstrated he knows "sit" and "paw/shake" already, he would benefit from working on structured training regarding basic obedience, socialization, and leash manners.
