We're told she's housebroken and very sweet We will know more about her after she arrive with HT on 3/25. Notes from the foster: Mia is an adorable girl who makes us laugh with her quirks. She will zoom around looking for someone to give her attention, but once she finds someone willing to pet and scratch her, she will lie down next to them for hours. She loves to be petted. If you stop petting her, she will move her body to be under your hand again or she will bop your hand with her paw to let you know she's not done. She also loves to give kisses -- on your face if you let her, on your hand if you don't. Although we're taking it easy with her because of her spay stitches, she is an athletic dog. She is able to catch toys in her mouth and, when in the right mood, will play fetch in return for belly rubs. She does well on a leash. She only pulls on occasion when she gets excited. She has no problems with my kids (youngest is 12, so they are a little older) and she lived with a dog previously. She is house broken and settles well into her crate both at night and when we're away. She isn't particularly food motivated -- we've learned that she prefers lettuce, cucumbers, and carrots to doggie treats. We're beginning to teach her sit and other commands, and she seems to be picking them up pretty quickly. She still has some manners to learn. She'll growl and bark at new people, but is easily won over by anyone willing to pet her. She also sometimes jumps on people looking for attention, but she's so small that it doesn't bother my kids. We're trying to teach her that jumping on people isn't allowed.
