🐾 Meet Kirby: A True Survivor! Kirby’s journey is a powerful reminder of the resilience of Houston's street dogs. After being rescued from traffic near Kirby & 610, he faced a difficult recovery following a neighborhood dog attack. Today, his spirit is unbroken, and he is officially ready for his next chapter. His wounds are healing beautifully after receiving emergency stitches. He is fully vetted and has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He's a "really good boy" with a gentle soul who simply isn't "street-smart" and needs a safe home. While direct rescue is not Barrio Dogs' primary mission, we believe everyone has a role to play in addressing the crisis of homeless dogs on our streets. When a neighbor steps up to save a life, we feel it is vital to do our part and "chip in" to ensure the animal gets the care they need.
