Sweet Queenie is looking for a special home! 6 weeks ago she was surrendered after she jumped off furniture and lost use of her back legs. With steroids and strict crate rest she was lucky enough to regain most of her function without needing surgery. But with IVDD there is always a risk of future injury so she needs to be extra careful- keeping her from becoming overweight again, using ramps and not allowing her to jump off furniture or go down stairs too much is recommended. Which is hard because she definitely doesn't know anything is wrong and thinks she can run, jump and fly. She is crate-trained and likes her walks outside and has been housebroken if taken out on a regular schedule in her foster home. She is ok with other gentle small dogs that won't jump on her back and accidentally hurt her. But mostly she loves human attention and is a sweet social girl. She's a smaller mini or larger toy poodle, should be about 10-11 lbs once she gets down to her ideal weight.
