Meet Georgia Georgia is a 1–2 year old female beagle who weighs only about 20 lbs, making her the perfect small-sized hound. She's settling into foster life wonderfully and learning all the important house dog skills. Georgia is doing great with: House training (no recent accidents) Walking on a leash Living with other dogs Sleeping in her crate at night Following a regular schedule for meals, walks, and potty time She has started to go into her crate on her own to relax and sleep, and while she may protest briefly at bedtime, she settles quickly and sleeps through the night. Georgia is very friendly and does well meeting other dogs on walks and during playdates. She's currently working on greeting people calmly and not jumping when she gets excited. Like any true beagle, Georgia has an excellent nose and can detect squirrels, rabbits, and deer from impressive distances. Because of this, she will need to be kept on leash or in a secure fenced yard. She would do best in a home that: Can continue her routine and structure Enjoys walks and outdoor time Understands hound behavior and scent-driven dogs Is willing to continue basic training and confidence building Georgia is a sweet, happy little dog who is really starting to blossom now that she has stability and routine.
