Meet Baeley! Baeley is a stunning 3-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a big heart that’s slowly learning to trust again. When he first arrived, poor Baeley was very scared and overwhelmed. His previous owner had a hard time bringing him in because new places and unfamiliar people make him nervous, and when frightened, he may try to run or shut down. In the kennel, Baeley was initially very withdrawn — classic for a sensitive Shepherd who isn’t sure what’s happening. But every day, this brave boy is showing us more and more of who he truly is. With patient handling and steady routines, Baeley has started coming out of his shell. His social skills are improving, he’s becoming more comfortable stepping outside his kennel, and we see a little more confidence from him each day. Baeley will do best with: • A patient, calm adopter who understands shy or sensitive Shepherds • A secure environment and mindful leash handling, as he may still try to bolt when unsure • A predictable, low-pressure household • Someone who celebrates small steps and gives him time to feel safe Once Baeley bonds with his person, he will be incredibly loyal and loving.
