About Osa
Osa is a lively German Shepherd/Collie mix puppy who came through a rough start—his home burned down when he was just a newborn, and he found safety with his foster family in the middle of a heavy winter storm. Since arriving at about 7 weeks old, Osa has shown a lot of energy and loves every chance to run, play tug, sniff out treats, and learn new commands. He already knows sit, down, and come, and he’s always eager for another treat. His puppy enthusiasm surfaces in his playful nibbles, but each week he’s learning gentler ways to interact as he grows. Osa is house trained and reliably sleeps through the night in his crate, though he still has the occasional accident—free range will come with time. He’s crate trained, usually settling quickly even if he barks briefly when put down for a nap. Around dinner, he sometimes gets overstimulated, but a post-meal crate break works wonders. Osa also enjoys sitting on the front steps, calmly taking in neighborhood sights and sounds. He’d thrive with a backyard to explore, and outdoor time is one of his favorite things. Osa gets along with other dogs and has started to seek out cuddles more and more. Prospective adopters should know that young puppies like Osa can’t be left alone for an entire workday—plan for someone to check in every four hours until he’s about eight months old. He’s ready for a home that will enjoy his playful spirit and energy. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
