Every volunteer who spends time with Zena comes back saying the same thing: "hidden gem". She waits politely to be invited up to the couch at your side, rolls around on the floor being gloriously silly, and has the absolute sweetest smile you've ever seen on a dog. Once she decides you're her person, she crawls into your lap and sighs like she's been waiting all day for exactly this. She's 100% housetrained, not even the slightest bit bark-y, non-destructive, loves bananas and car rides and wearing clothes — and that pretty much tells you all you need to know about her sparkling personality. Zena needs a patient home with no cats, slow dog introductions, and older kiddos, and in return she will be the goofiest, warmest, most devoted couch companion you have ever had the good sense to bring home.
