Meet Hockey Hank, one brother from the "Olympic litter"! At 10 weeks old, this Lab/Pit/Shepherd mix is expected to grow into a 50-65 lb playful and active companion. (Best guess, but only a guess!) Hank is a very calm puppy and loves to play with toys but is not very destructive. He is fantastic with kids and dogs and cats. He tries to play with the cats but is respectful and never aggressive. He is extremely food motivated and goes insane at feeding time and eats very quickly so a slow feeder bowl is essential. He is doing decent in potty training and understands to go potty when outside but still not understanding that he shouldn't go inside too. He is seeming to learn faster when he gets treats for going potty outside. He is relatively quiet in a kennel but will have accidents in the kennel so a small kennel that he can still turn around in but can't choose to go potty on one side and then get away from his mess is best. A kennel that can be divided and expanded as he grows would be perfect for him. If he has a towel in the kennel, he will pee on the towel. He doesn't whine when in the kennel until after he has gone potty so at night you need to listen for his scratches and movement to know he needs to go potty. Can't say enough how good he is with the kids and other animals though! Loves to snuggle! Needs more leash training- he can be shy at times and will stop walking sometimes when on a leash. He is not too needy and can be independent too. Loves ice cubes as treats!
