Meet Missy May With her soft white coat, bright eyes, and that impossibly happy "Lab smile," Missy May has the kind of face that makes people fall in love before she's even finished wagging her tail. Missy May is a 2-year-old Lab/Catahoula mix weighing about 47 pounds, and she's that magical combination of playful adventure buddy and deeply loving companion. She's spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, fully house trained, and crate trained. In other words: civilized. Refined. A lady with excellent indoor credentials. She's dog friendly, cat friendly, and absolutely adores children. She loves to run, play, explore, and be involved in whatever her people are doing. Yard zoomies? Excellent. Family movie night? Also excellent. Missy May firmly believes life is better as a group project. Missy May is extremely fearful of adult men and will need a female-only home. She is not aggressive at all, but she is deeply uncomfortable around men and does not relax or feel safe with them. Because of that, we are looking for a patient, understanding home that can respect her boundaries and give her the security she needs to thrive. With women and children she trusts, Missy May is incredibly sweet, affectionate, playful, and loving. Once she feels safe, her joyful personality absolutely blooms. She has the kind of gentle, loyal heart that forms deep bonds with her people and wants nothing more than to be near them. With her precious smile, playful spirit, and genuinely sweet soul, Missy May is going to make an incredibly special companion for the right home. The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
