He was badly injured when rescued, needing surgery for wounds on his head and neck. Thanks to committed veterinary care and a caring foster, Sonny has made a full recovery. He’s a large, short-coated American Staffordshire Terrier male who displays a relaxed, affectionate energy despite everything he’s endured. Sonny’s calmness is grounded by a strong will, which means he’s happiest with a confident, experienced handler. He’s house trained and has done well with other dogs during careful introductions, including his senior foster sister.
