COURTESY POST: Please contact Marisa 760) 693-8671 (442) 368-9600 Brownie Needs a Chance Brownie has been through a lot in her life, and despite everything, there is still so much hope for her future. Brownie was originally found injured and taken in for veterinary care. Since then, she has been safe, fed, and cared for, but life in a crowded rescue environment has become overwhelming for her. She has struggled with stress-related behavioral issues, including excessive barking and conflicts with a few other dogs in the home. Since being spayed, she has shown improvement, but she is still not thriving in her current situation. The person caring for Brownie never intended to end up with so many dogs. After unexpectedly taking in pregnant dogs and later discovering an abandoned litter outside the property, the household quickly grew to more than 30 puppies at one point. While many have found homes, several dogs still remain, and the constant activity and tension have become extremely difficult for Brownie to handle. What gives everyone hope is this: Brownie is wonderful with the male member of the household. She is affectionate, connected, and trusting with him, showing that beneath her stress and fear is a dog capable of bonding deeply with the right person. Her current environment simply is not the right fit for her emotional needs. Brownie would do best in a calm, structured home with experienced handlers who understand that some dogs need patience, consistency, and decompression time. She needs an environment with less chaos where she can finally feel safe and secure. Because of the stress she experiences around other dogs, slow introductions and careful management would be important. Her caregiver is doing everything possible to avoid giving up on her and is desperately hoping someone will step forward to give Brownie the opportunity she deserves. Brownie is not a bad dog. She is a stressed dog in an overcrowded situation, and she needs a fresh start. If you believe you may be able to help Brownie, please reach out. Contact Marisa: (760) 693-8671 (442) 368-9600
