Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and recommendations to keep your Senior dog in top shape. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and is available through our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. He was found there as a stray and brought into rescue after his stray hold was up. Dennis is a sweet little distinguished gentleman. He loves his treats and takes them so gently. Dennis is completely potty trained and will also kennel up (it might take a bribe, but he'll go in) when it's time for bed, and sleeps there soundly through the night. Dennis also knows a few basic commands, sit, stay, come, etc. Dennis loves everyone he meets.. there are no strangers.. just friends he hasn't met yet.. lol.
