About Burt in Maine

Burt is a 1.5-year-old terrier mix, possibly with some Cattle Dog in the mix, and he’s 110% adorable. Weighing in at 45 lbs, this medium-sized pup has the personality of a cartoon character, bouncing around like Scooby Doo while he plays. His agility skills shine through as he zips around the yard, and he’s done phenomenally well at doggy daycare, joyfully interacting with around 30 other dogs. This friendly pup adores people just as much as he loves his canine friends. Whether he's climbing bleachers to cheer on tennis players or playfully asking for attention with his amusing whine, Burt’s adventurous spirit is contagious. He’s eager to learn, proving it’s easy to train him using treats and a clicker—the kid's a smart cookie! He’s house-trained and crate-trained, showing no signs of shyness or hesitation around strangers. Burt’s only requirement is a cat-free home, as he tends to get a bit too excited about furry felines. He’s wonderful with kids, showing gentle affection even towards a timid 2-year-old. Although still puppy-like in some ways, Burt is curious about the world and loves both activities like fetch and cozy nap time.
