This playful, affectionate boy is a sensitive soul who bonds deeply with his people. Once he feels safe, he’s all about closeness, face kisses, and being your constant companion. He has a higher energy level and loves to stay busy, especially if there’s a good chew or bone involved (bonus points if he can “hide” it for later). He is house trained, knows “sit,” and is working on “wait.” Training can be a bit of a challenge since he’s not very food or toy motivated, but he’s making progress with patience and consistency. He can be nervous and is still learning to feel secure, so he’ll need an experienced adopter who understands fearful dogs and is committed to building trust. He also struggles with separation anxiety and will do best in a home where someone is around often. He is looking for an adult-only home without small animals or small dogs, and any introductions to other dogs should be done carefully, as he can take a while to warm up to new roommates. He’s not the right fit for every home—but for the right person, he’ll be an incredibly loyal and loving companion. ❤️ Jax is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
