Xena is a small, curious girl with a playful spirit and so much personality packed into a little body. She had a rough start as a stray and wandered into the wrong yard, where she was attacked by other dogs, but she hasn't let that define her. Xena still loves people and wants to be close, happily soaking up attention and affection whenever she can. Xena loves toys, bones and anything involving treats. She's very much still a puppy, figuring out how to be a small dog in this big world. She's working on potty and crate training and is nervous outside, so leash walks are not her thing yet. She will need a patient home with people willing to guide her as she learns. Xena would likely do best with a confident dog sibling to help her feel safe and show her the ropes of being a dog. She's making progress every day and will do best in a home that can give her the time and consistency she needs to truly thrive.
