About Prancer

Meet Prancer! At 2 years old, Prancer is a mixed breed with roots in Pit Bull Terrier, Rat Terrier, Golden Retriever, and a few other breeds, giving her both charm and uniqueness. She started life as one of "Santa’s Reindeer" pups and spent some time with a family before landing in the care of Animal Control. Now safe with her original foster home, Prancer has settled right back in and is ready for a real forever home. Prancer stands out for her playful, affectionate nature. She is happy to entertain you chasing a ball or tugging a toy but is just as eager to relax and snuggle after playtime. Fully house trained and crate trained, she behaves well at home—independent, trustworthy, and not at all mischievous when left alone. She gets along with dogs and enjoys canine company. With cats, she'll keep her distance but behaves respectfully. Prancer is medium-sized, fully grown (about 45 pounds), and has a short, naturally docked tail like some of her siblings. What she wants most is consistency, kindness, and a bit of fun—a home where she belongs for good. Prancer fits best with people looking for a lively, affectionate, and well-balanced dog who loves kids and enjoys meeting new canine friends. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
