About Bartholomew

Meet Bartholomew (we call him Bart!) — a big, beautiful, gentle-hearted Great Pyrenees pup with a whole lot of love to give. This stunning boy was found in a rural area alongside his sister Beatrice, and despite efforts to locate an owner, no one ever came forward. Now he’s safe, loved, and ready for a fresh start. Bart is about 6–7 months old and already a handsome 68 lbs of fluff, sweetness, and charm. We think he will be 85-95lbs when fully grown. Discovering the good life It’s clear Bart spent his early months outdoors, but he’s catching on fast to the joys of indoor living. Soft beds? Amazing. Toys? Even better. He’s already mastered the art of locating the toy boxes — and his favorite game is proudly carrying his treasures outside one by one like a goofy little collector. A gentle giant in the making Bart is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and is great with cats too. For a young Pyr, he’s impressively calm and gentle, making him a fantastic fit for families with children. He doesn’t guard food or toys, and he has that classic Great Pyrenees instinct to give a polite “woof” when someone’s on the property. Zoomies, naps, and brave adventures Like all Pyrs, Bart has joyful bursts of zoomies followed by legendary nap sessions. He’s confident, curious, and brave as he explores — the kind of pup who trots forward with his tail up, ready to see what the world has to offer. A magnificent “love bear” We haven’t had him long, but it’s already clear this boy is something special. He’s affectionate, steady, and eager to bond. Bart would thrive in a loving home with a large, securely fenced yard where he can roam, sniff the breeze, and parade around with his favorite toys. Healthy, ready, and waiting Bart is microchipped, fully vaccinated, and will be neutered soon. He’s all set for his forever family. What he’s dreaming of Bart is hoping for someone who smiles when his big ears perk up, someone who doesn’t mind when he leans in for affection, someone who wants a loyal companion for walks, couch cuddles, and peaceful evenings. Look into his warm brown eyes and you might hear his gentle question: “Are you the one I’ve been waiting for?” _________________________________________________________________________________ Make Bart Yours! Here's how: Bart would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family. Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport. We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
