About Javier
Click apply to start the adoption process. Javier is a 52 lb cutie pie who was sadly abandoned, but you’d never guess it from his sweet, loving personality. He’s incredibly silly, delights in meeting new people, and can’t resist the most squeak-filled toys he can find. Javier is as friendly and affectionate as they come, but shelter life has proven overwhelming for him, especially with so many dogs nearby. He tends to be uncomfortable around other dogs for now. Although his only friend is Minnow, Javier has shown that, with time and patience, friendships are possible. The staff are hopeful he will warm up to more canine companions as he becomes more comfortable. Above all, Javier is most in need of a loving home—somewhere calm where he can relax, build his confidence, and truly be himself. Javier is heartworm positive, but he is safely receiving treatment at the shelter. If you’re longing for a sweet, sensitive companion ready to leave his worries behind and start a new life, Javier is eager to share his loyalty and love. This could be the start of something paw-some.
