Javier is a 52 lb cutie pie who was sadly abandoned on our property—but you’d never know it from his sweet, loving personality. This boy is incredibly silly, loves meeting new people, and has a soft spot for squeaky toys (the squeakier, the better). While he’s friendly and affectionate, shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for him. So far he seems uncomfortable around other dogs, and in a space that’s constantly full of them, it’s been hard for him to fully relax. We are working on getting him acclimated with other dogs, but so far his only friend is Minnow. Though, he loves her so much that there is hope for many more buddies to come. It’s clear that what Javier really needs is a loving home where he can relax and truly be himself. Javier is heartworm positive, but he is currently receiving treatment here at the shelter.
