About Baldur
Baldur’s name comes from Norse mythology, where it means "prince" or "brave warrior,” and he holds up his end of the legend. This 3-year-old male Chow mix has a soft, silky medium-length coat the color of silver-blue. He’s affectionate, always on the lookout for a snuggle, and relishes time spent with his humans—especially if it involves sharing the couch. Baldur flourishes around other playful, friendly dogs and would do especially well with a dog sibling who loves to run and wrestle. He’s open to being an only dog too, as long as the household offers plenty of attention. He handles himself well with both male and female dogs but doesn’t have much patience for dominant or bossy personalities. He’s happy to share his life with kids older than five, and he’s house trained. Food is his love language—Baldur will do just about anything for a treat, which makes positive reinforcement and learning new manners straightforward. The only challenge is his enthusiasm—he sometimes needs a reminder to take treats gently. Rope toys, games of tug, and outdoor zoomies are some of his greatest joys, but snuggling comes right after. His silky coat handles regular brushing well and doesn’t demand any special grooming trips. Baldur is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to move in. A meet and greet ensures compatibility and a stress-free transition from his foster home in Yukon, OK. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
