About Norbert

Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet. Norbert is everything you'd expect in a big, orange cat: he's goofy and silly, incredibly affectionate, a bit on the dumb side, and one of the biggest personalities you'll ever see! Norbert is 3 or 4 years old and 16 pounds. He was a stray cat who was lucky enough to make his way to a kind rescuer who got him neutered and vaccinated then reached out to ARR for a foster. Norbert is very grateful for his indoor life and enjoys all the spoils: cozy beds, big windows, cat trees, mouse toys, human laps, and, oh yeah, the treats! Norbert is nervous around new people for a few days, but once he trusts you, he wants nothing more than to be in your lap. Imagine 16 pounds of orange cat weighing you down! It's an experience to be had. Norbert will also sleep in bed with his human. Also, don't miss out on Norbert's gum freckles. They're possibly the cutest thing about him. Norbert is a gentle giant, but he does express his love with teeny tiny love bites, so small children probably aren't a good fit. Other than that, he'd be great in any home. He has FIV but is very friendly with other cats, so he won't transmit the virus to others. He loves dogs as well. Norbert is in great health and doesn't need any ongoing treatment for his FIV - just regular vet checks and an indoor life. Seriously folks, this is a top quality cat! Go ahead and fill out an app, then you can visit him in his foster home in Conifer, CO. Or check out more cute Norbert content on Instagram @KittyCatClimberGirl. Foster: BS Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $350 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $225 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $225 for kittens (6 months & under) $150 for cats (older than 6 months) $100 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
