About Norbert
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Norbert embodies everything people adore about big, orange cats: he’s playful, goofy, wonderfully affectionate, and his personality is truly larger than life! This mellow giant, estimated to be between 3 and 4 years old and weighing in at 16 pounds, arrived at Animal Rescue of the Rockies after being rescued as a stray. Thankfully, he’s now neutered, fully vaccinated, and absolutely relishing the comforts of indoor life—cozy beds, sunlit windows, cat trees, mouse toys, cozy laps, and, of course, plenty of treats. He may be shy with new people at first, but once he trusts you, Norbert will be your loyal lap companion—imagine all 16 pounds curling up with you or sleeping at your feet! One of his cutest features is his gum freckles, and he’s known to deliver tiny, gentle love bites to show affection. Because of this, a home without small children is best for Norbert. Otherwise, he fits seamlessly into most households. Even with his FIV-positive status, Norbert is in great health, gets along well with other cats without transmitting the virus, and adores dogs as well. He requires only regular vet checkups and a safe, indoor environment to thrive. If you’re looking for a top-tier feline friend, Norbert is ready to meet you in his foster home in Conifer, CO. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
