AvailableDorian+ Jacob Blackington are a bonded pair of young black Domestic Short Hair cats currently cozying up in Aurora, CO. Both cats are neutered, vaccinated, and fully house trained. Their small size makes them well-suited to a variety of indoor spaces. Dory, the female, charms with her crossed eyes and independent spirit. Jacob, the male, is gentle and sensitive, often finding confidence from Dory’s presence. Together, they have overcome a tough start and are searching for a calm, understanding home.
About Dorian+ Jacob Blackington
Dory and Jacob are bonded survivors, each having started life outdoors in separate parts of Colorado. Both were strangers to humans, learning slowly and haltingly to trust. After trying separate homes, neither could settle without the other. Since being reunited, they’ve blended into a single, inseparable duo—side by side for naps, play, and comfort. Dory has her quirks; she’s sassy, a bit shy, and a big fan of Churu treats. Petting is on her terms only. Crossed eyes and a sharp sense of her own boundaries make her both memorable and complex. She can swat if overstimulated and needs an adopter who respects when enough is enough. Jacob is a sleek black cat with gold eyes and a gentle soul. He takes his social cues from Dory—often hiding and nervous at first, but given time, he grows into an affectionate, purring companion. Both thrive on routine and take a while to adjust to new places or people. Sudden approaches or loud environments are challenging for them. A patient, experienced cat home—one without young children or expectations of instant affection—will give Dory and Jacob their best shot. In time, their affection and trust are real and lasting, but only for someone ready to meet them at their pace. These two are the definition of rescue cats: wary at first, but deeply rewarding once they choose you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
