About Cody
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Introducing Cody, a gentle female Australian Shepherd mix searching for a loving forever home alongside her loyal friend Bluegrass. These two arrived together from another shelter and share a very close bond, so they must transition to their new chapter as a pair. Cody and Bluegrass are quite timid in unfamiliar situations, often feeling nervous around new people and environments, making patience and compassion essential for their future family. Due to their shy personalities, it is recommended that any children in their home be aged six or older. If you have younger children and are experienced with gentle, nervous dogs, the team is open to further discussion. Both Cody and Bluegrass are sweet and affectionate, but thrive best with slow, steady introductions to new people, places, and animals. As their past is a mystery, families should be prepared to introduce or restart house and crate training. They are searching for a special, understanding home ready to commit the time, patience, and encouragement they need to truly blossom. If you’re ready to meet them or have questions, the kennel team is happy to help when you visit at Virginia Beach SPCA. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
