About Lobster

Lobster is ready for his chance at a real home, and once you meet him, you’ll wonder how he ever went overlooked. This is the same dog who was found curled up on a porch bench in the middle of winter, as if it were just another ordinary night. Now that he’s safe, it’s clear that beneath that tough start is an incredibly sweet, easygoing dog who just wants to be part of a home. Lobster has a wonderful, balanced energy. He enjoys playtime and would love a fenced yard where he can run and stretch his legs, but he’s just as happy to relax and hang out with his people. He’s dog friendly and would likely thrive with a canine companion, and he has shown himself to be cat friendly as well, though he may occasionally try to initiate play. He does well with children, especially those old enough to match his energy respectfully. He is potty trained and can comfortably hold it for a full workday. Lobster is also crate trained with a little encouragement — he may voice a brief opinion about it at first, but settles in quickly. In the home, he is non-destructive and easy to live with, making him a low-stress companion. He enjoys squeaky toys, has a growing interest in fetch, and walks with enthusiasm on leash, benefiting from someone who can continue guiding his leash manners. What really stands out about Lobster is how simple he is to love. He isn’t overly demanding or chaotic — he just wants to spend time with his people, enjoy some play, accept a few belly rubs, and then relax nearby. Lobster is the kind of dog who fits naturally into your life and makes it better just by being there. He’s ready for a foster, foster-to-adopt, or forever home where he can finally settle in and be the good dog he’s always been. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
