Leo (approximately 73 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. Every time he comes back from a walk with a volunteer, we are told "This is a WONDERFUL dog - we had SUCH a great walk!" And they're not wrong - Leo is fantastic! He is very affectionate, loving, and sweet. He wants to be close to his people and has a habit of jumping up on friends new and old so that he can get a hug. Leo is listed as a Black Mouth Cur mix but he gives us Great Dane vibes - a big imposing fellow who is actually a sensitive marshmallow inside. Leo's enthusiastic tail wags also hit with the force of a Great Dane tail, LOL! Leo was introduced to dogs at his previous shelter and did well with canines of both sexes. Leo keeps a very clean kennel so we believe that he is house trained, and he has been non-destructive with the toys he's been given.
