Meet puzzle! A special chihuahua who quickly became a shelter favorite thanks to her unique personality. Puzzle is looking for a very patient and experienced home with no other animals that can provide a quiet, consistent environment and routine to help her feel safe and comfortable. Puzz is puppy pad trained and food motivated, which helps her when building trust. She does not like being picked up, and chasing or trying to catch her can result in stress for her. Due to that we have her on a low dose prescribed anxiety medication we are requiring extensive vet references. Puzzle needs someone willing to move slowly and allow her to adjust at her own pace. She will likely need more time than the typical 3-month adjustment period to fully settle in. Her favorite things are soft dog beds and cozy heated blankets, where she loves to curl up and relax. She's also a big fan of piling up her stuffies in her bed to make the perfect nest. Puzzle is looking for a calm single dog home that understands she's a very special girl and is willing to give her the time, patience and routine she needs to truly shine.
