Goofy, lovable and endearing, he steals hearts everywhere he goes! Drew was found stray in Detroit at just 14 weeks old, unable to stand or walk. He was brought to our friends at Detroit Animal Care and Control, who let us know about him right away. We took him directly to our vet, who determined that Drew had likely been thrown from a moving vehicle. :( Read Drew's original Facebook post here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/16srrTDqBD/ Drew has come a long way since then, with lots of love and help from his foster family and our great vets! Drew is ready to find a family of his very own, and we're so excited for him! All about Drew: He loves to eat, loves to play, loves to run, loves to snuggle, and lives his life with gusto! Drew gets around really well now, with only a bit of occasional residual weakness in his back legs. (This has improved with time, rest and exercise, and we and our vet expect this to continue). The rest of the time, he trots right along or bounces around the yard joyfully with his friends and foster siblings. (See video!) He needs a little assistance going down the stairs (we usually carry him to be safe), but he has no trouble going up the stairs. Drew loves to snuggle and is always right by your side, staring up at you lovingly. He's your best couch potato friend, but he also likes to play with toys (squeaky ones are a favorite!) and he might even steal a sock or two…! He’s doing great on crate and house training, and will almost always go when he gets outside. If Drew gets an opportunity to go on a car ride, it really makes his day! Drew loves meeting new dogs and adores all humans--he doesn't know a stranger! He's neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up to date on all vaccines; he's as healthy as a little horse! He's a sweet survivor who's doing beautifully after a crappy start to his life... His ideal family needs to have a fully fenced yard, and be willing to give Drew a hand sometimes, along with lots of love as he continues healing!
