PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE INQUIRING – WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO PUT IN AN ADOPTION APPLICATION CHARLIE IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR WATERLOO, IOWA. Charlie came to us from a heartbreaking situation. His owner is currently battling cancer and had to move in with family, but unfortunately Charlie was not able to go with her. He was left living alone in the vacant home, and we knew that was no life for such a loving dog. We stepped in to give him the chance he deserves at a happy, full life with a family by his side. Charlie is a big, goofy Saint Bernard with an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves tummy rubs, attention, and giving big kisses to his people. He does well with other dogs and coexists nicely with cats. Like many large breeds, he doesn’t always realize his size, so he would do best in a home with older children who can comfortably handle his enthusiastic affection. Charlie is potty trained and is currently working on his leash manners, as he can get excited and pull, but with consistency he will continue to improve. He prefers a gentle approach when it comes to handling, and once he’s comfortable, his affectionate personality really shines through. He’s truly just a big teddy bear who wants to be loved. Charlie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventative, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.
