Meet #Skittles Some dogs come to us with stories… and some come to us with stories that truly stay with you. Skittles came from the home that caught fire in Gustavus last week. In the middle of all that chaos and fear… he ran. And who could blame him? The volunteers had to gently chase him around the property just to get him to safety. He was terrified… overwhelmed… unsure of everything happening around him. And yet… look at him now. This sweet boy — we believe around 5–6 years old — has shown us nothing but a happy, gentle spirit since settling in. Dog friendly Walks nicely Calm, loving, and easygoing That quiet kind of joy that just makes you smile He may be a little unsure at first (and rightfully so after everything he’s been through), so we are recommending a home with older, respectful children to help set him up for success. But once he feels safe… he’s just a sweet, happy little guy who wants to be near his people and finally exhale.
