Maurice was found wandering, uncertain and nervous, but the change in him since being fostered has been remarkable. He’s a small, energetic terrier/schnauzer mix whose puppy-like charm shines through every day. Maurice adores playing—whether it’s chasing his foster dog siblings, wrestling, or tossing around any toy he can find: balls, stuffed animals, tug ropes, food puzzles, you name it. Sometimes he even entertains himself with toys when left to his own devices. He lights up when he’s outdoors and relishes running and romping in a fenced yard. Maurice loves people and has done great with children in the home, basking in attention and affection. Though he hasn’t nailed house training due to Atypical Cushings Disease, he’s tolerant about wearing a belly band or using pee pads and takes a daily supplement to help manage his symptoms. Occasional accidents happen, but he makes up for it with sweet brown eyes and a wiggly little body that’s impossible to resist.
