About Henry

Henry and his companion Helen were rescued from an abandoned house after surviving years in a puppy mill. They’re a closely bonded pair, so they must stay together. Henry weighs around 12 lbs and is a schnauzer/terrier mix with maybe a hint of Beagle. He’s about 7 to 8 years old and prefers calm, quiet company. Henry is deeply loyal—he’ll follow you from room to room and settle in for long snuggles or naps, always wanting to know where his person is. He rarely barks, only letting out the occasional whine if he can’t find you. Stairs don’t faze him, and he’s comfortable jumping onto beds or couches. Henry is house trained and does fine in the house while you’re away. He isn’t a fan of crates (and doesn’t need one), and he enjoys hanging out in the yard if it’s fenced. Both he and Helen are good in the car, at the vet, and with the groomer. They have mild, manageable sensitive stomachs (kept in check with probiotics) but are otherwise healthy. Henry and Helen have done well with children as young as 2 and get along with other dogs. They appreciate a relaxed pace and simple pleasures—a treat, a soft spot, and someone to sit with. If you’re searching for a loving, low-key duo, Henry and Helen may be the perfect fit. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
