She’s mostly house-trained and crate-trained, and while she may be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly and becomes a devoted, loving companion. Mia does well with other small dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine friend in her new home—especially since she’s not a fan of being left alone. She finds comfort in the presence of other dogs and seems soothed when she can see them nearby. While she’s generally friendly, she’s also not afraid to give a little “grumble” if another pup gets too up close and personal for too long. This sweet girl absolutely adores human interaction. She’s a champion “talker” during playtime—her adorable chatter is guaranteed to make you smile! She loves when her people toss toys for her and will happily engage in play as long as you’re willing. And fair warning: Mia is a professional-level beggar when food is involved! Mia came to us after her previous owner entered hospice care, and it’s clear she was deeply loved—someone’s whole world. Once she feels safe, that love shines right back out of her. She truly radiates affection and just wants to be close to her people. She does have some thin hair on her sides from previous alopecia, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit.
