About Raven

Age: 5 Years Good with dogs? No Good with cats? Yes Good with kids? Older Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $75 Any other info: Meet Raven. Raven’s world got a little too big, too loud, and too overwhelming and now this beautiful girl is quietly waiting for someone to help her feel safe again. At just 5 years old, Raven is a stunning long haired black beauty with the most soulful, expressive eyes you’ve ever seen. Eyes that tell a story… of confusion, fear, and the hope that someone will see past it all and give her the chance she so desperately needs. She came to us after struggling in a home with a dog, which caused a lot of stress and led to urinary issues. Since being here, we’ve started her on a special urinary diet and medication to help her feel better physically which has helped but what Raven truly needs is healing for her heart. And that’s something a shelter just can’t provide. The loud noises, the unfamiliar smells, the constant chaotic activity… it’s all so overwhelming for a sensitive soul like Raven. She spends much of her time hiding, trying to make herself invisible in a place that feels so scary. But when she feels even just the tiniest bit safe, her true self begins to shine through and it’s absolutely beautiful. Raven is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate. She leans into your touch, soaking up love like she’s been missing it. Her previous owner said she loves other cats and did well with calm children, and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can finally exhale and just be. Despite her fluffy coat making her look bigger, Raven is just a tiny little thing at only 5 pounds, fragile in both body and spirit. She doesn’t need much… just a quiet space, a patient heart, and someone willing to be her safe place without a wild dog running around. Raven is 5 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and triple tested negative for FIV, FelV, and Heartworm disease. Raven is waiting for her hero. Someone who sees her not as the scared cat in the corner, but as the loving, loyal companion she’s meant to be. Someone who will give her the time and kindness she needs to bloom again. Please don’t let her fade away in the shadows. She deserves so much more.
