Lumi is a 4 month old French Bulldog boy that has had a rough start to life. He was born with a cleft palate and has been lovingly hand raised since birth. He’s a special little guy, that is just staring to be a “real” puppy. He will need training, patience, guidance and love to become the best dog ever. He is fairly laid back for a puppy, and he is quiet. He’s has been raised around dogs and cats, and like any toddler can be a little annoying to them, but really likes them. Lumi is a little behind the curve developmentally, but he’s catching up and making great progress. When puppies are born with a cleft palate, it’s hard to say what else may not have formed correctly. He is missing some baby teeth, so we are unsure if he will have their adult counterparts. Don’t worry, he uses the rest of his teeth very well! He has a bit of a bum knee that he favors occasionally. His cleft has come together nicely and he is eating well on his own. As a whole, this breed tends to have more health issues than the average dog, so future vet bills are something to consider when thinking about adopting.
