Meet Zara! Zara is a petite Terrier-type mixed breed weighing about 20 pounds small enough to be easy to manage, but sturdy enough to keep up with lifes adventures. With her sleek black coat, bright white chest marking, and those wonderfully goofy ears (one standing tall while the other does its own thing), shes the kind of dog people notice right away. The vet estimates she is 4-5 years old. Zara was a last-minute addition to her transport from Texas, and in our experience those last-minute add-ons often turn out to be hidden treasures. We have a feeling Zara may be one of them. Zara recently attended an adoption event and did wonderfully. She happily greeted everyone she met and showed that she enjoys being around people. She also does well with other dogs, but can be a little too energetic with small children, so she probably would be better with children 10 and older. Zara enjoys being active and will benefit from continued practice walking on a leash as she learns the ropes. As she settles into new environments, Zaras affectionate and playful personality really shines. With a little guidance and love, she has all the makings of a fun, devoted companion.
