Meet Darla, a 1.5-year-old, 50-pound Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix with a big, soft heart. She’s playful but cherishes snuggles even more, and her ears have a mind of their own. Darla is happiest next to her people—she’s a true velcro dog who will gladly swap fetch for a night on the couch. She’s smart, eager to please, and both house-trained and crate-trained. Spayed and up to date on vaccinations, Darla has finished her heartworm treatment and is expected to make a full recovery, with a retest scheduled for August. While sometimes nervous in new settings, she’s coming into her own and shows promise with continued guidance and patience. Darla gets along with other dogs and children but does not get along with cats. If you want a loyal companion who offers endless affection and a wagging tail, Darla is ready for her forever home.
