Vida — Gentle, Chatty, and Full of Curious Charm Hi, I’m Vida. I was rescued in Modesto alongside one of my littermates, and now I’m settling into this new chapter of my life. I’m a soft, speckled little girl (for now — my coat will change as I grow up, but I think it makes me extra special). I might be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a little time... I warm up quickly and then I’m all about the pets and scratches. I love affection and being near my people, even if I’m still figuring out how I feel about being picked up (right now, I’d prefer all four paws on the ground, please). I’m also a bit of an independent girl — I’m great at entertaining myself and will happily play on my own. That said, I do enjoy a good chat. I’ve got a sweet little voice and like to “talk” now and then to let you know what’s on my mind. I’ve made myself right at home in my foster space — I’ve even rearranged things a bit (my bed and scratching post are exactly where I like them now). And I’ve claimed the doorstop as my personal doorbell... you might hear me “ringing” it from time to time. When it comes to food, I’m not picky, but I do have a soft spot for anything with gravy. I’m a gentle, growing girl who just needs a little patience at first — and then I’ll show you my sweet, affectionate side.
