Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $560 Meet Whopper: A Big-Hearted Puppy with an Even Bigger Personality Whopper is a 5–6 month old Shiba mix weighing around 20 pounds who was rescued from the shelter alongside his brother, Big Mac. With his friendly nature, playful spirit, and easygoing attitude, Whopper is the kind of puppy who fits in just about anywhere. He’s affectionate without being demanding, social without being overwhelming, and always ready to brighten your day with his happy little squeaks and zoomies. Daily Routine & Life at Home Whopper starts his day when the household wakes up, heading outside right away for his morning potty break. Afterward, he comes inside for breakfast—he’s always very eager to eat—then often heads back outside for another quick potty trip. He enjoys a couple of walks each day and does beautifully on leash. He doesn’t pull or bark at squirrels, making outings relaxed and enjoyable. During the day, he’s happy to spend time playing with his toys, exploring the yard, or simply relaxing nearby. In the evening, Whopper naturally settles down with the family. He’s content to lie on the floor next to everyone or stretch out on an open spot on the couch. He enjoys being close to his people but doesn’t feel the need to be in your lap all the time— though he will occasionally hop up on his own when he’s in the mood for extra affection. Personality: Sweet, Social, and Full of Puppy Joy From the moment he arrived, Whopper showed just how loving he is. On his first day, he happily crawled right into his foster’s lap for snuggles and scratches. That affectionate nature has remained, and his playful personality continues to shine more each day. He truly enjoys being around people and doesn’t play favorites— if you’re willing to give him attention, he’s happy to return the love. He’s also wonderfully entertaining. When he’s excited or playing with a toy, he makes adorable squeaky sounds that perfectly capture his joyful personality. Whopper is comfortable entertaining himself with a tennis ball or toy, but he also loves companionship and being part of the action. Play Style & Energy Level Whopper is a great mix of playful and relaxed. If you toss a ball or start a game of tug, he’ll jump right in with enthusiasm. And when the fun is over, he’s perfectly content to settle down and relax with everyone. His zoomies are especially adorable— he’ll suddenly burst into playful energy, race after his toys, and put on a show that’s guaranteed to make you smile. Afterward, he’s quick to calm down and enjoy some quiet time. He also enjoys simple pleasures like sniffing around the yard or sunbathing on a warm day. Walking & Social Skills Whopper is a pleasure to walk. He walks nicely on leash, stays calm around other dogs, and does not pull or bark at squirrels. When he meets people on walks, he politely approaches to sniff hello and then settles down nearby while conversations continue. He has shown wonderful manners with other dogs, including a friendly neighbor’s Labrador, and interacts gently and respectfully. He also absolutely loves children and has done especially well with a kindergarten-aged neighbor as well as teenagers in the home. House Training & Home Manners Whopper is well on his way with potty training. He understands that outside is the place to go and does very well when taken out regularly. Like many puppies, he may sometimes chew on household items when bored, but he responds well to gentle correction and quickly redirects to appropriate toys. This is typical puppy behavior that he is already improving on. He is generally quiet in the home. He did bark once at the gardener in the backyard but otherwise handles visitors, delivery people, and neighborhood activity calmly.
