There is an application process and adoption fee. ----------- Dallas is a cute little 4 yr old Yorkie who weighs about 7lbs. His foster mom says he is the sweetest love bug you’ll ever meet. Dallas came to us as a breeder-release dog who never lived in a home as someone’s beloved pet. Many dogs like this have never been on leash or set foot on grass to potty. They can be a little cautious when experiencing new things. Dallas was a little reserved in the beginning and unsure about all the love and attention he was getting. His foster mom says he is doing great now and adapting well. Dallas is smart, inquisitive, and learns very quickly. He will lie in your lap for hours on end, occasionally smothering you with kisses. Dallas is the perfect companion Yorkie for his humans and any other pets in your home. He is still learning house-training and leash walking, so he will need someone with time and patience to help him be successful. A new challenge for Dallas is stairs. He is trying to learn how to use them. We are asking for a home with minimal to no stairs. Dallas could be an only dog or have another small dog under 14 pounds in the home. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD FOR Dallas’s ADOPTIVE HOME. The secure fence must be attached to the home, 4 feet or higher with gaps no larger than 1 1/2 inches. An invisible fence, enclosed patio or terrace without grass, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500
