About Trixie
Trixie is a charming five-year-old Yorkshire Terrier and Maltese mix, weighing in at just 8 pounds. With her adorable long coat and tricolor markings, she wins people over the moment they meet her. Trixie thrives on human interaction, quickly bonding to her people and wanting to be involved in all parts of your day. Her foster describes her as a true snuggler, happiest tucked beside you, especially for bedtime. Once she feels safe, she'll pour on the affection and playful energy, making her an ideal companion for someone longing for loyal company and shared warmth. On walks, Trixie is gaining confidence on a leash but remains quick-footed and watchful for open doors. She’ll need a vigilant adopter, as she can zip outside if given the chance. Housetraining is still a work in progress, so patience and consistency will be important. While she lived with another Yorkie previously, Trixie now prefers being the only dog, basking in undivided attention from her humans. Her devoted spirit will make her a fantastic best friend for the right match. Her new family must be adults only, have a securely fenced yard with specific standards, and be willing to travel to Greensboro, NC for adoption. Trixie is spayed and fully vaccinated, receiving regular vet care while in rescue. Fun fact—born October 4th, Trixie is a Libra, so expect plenty of charm and affection. Ready to fall in love?
