She remains crate trained, house trained, knows basic commands, and walks well on a leash with a harness. Now that she’s comfortable, her puppy side has emerged—she gets the zoomies, plays fetch, and proudly empties the toy basket every day. She favors men and especially loves her foster dad, often seeking out her crate when guests arrive. Mona has done very well with other dogs, including the neighbors’ dogs and a slow, successful introduction to a 9-year-old alpha German Shepherd, showing she’s smart and respectful of boundaries. She still needs time to warm up to new people, but regular outings like Lowe’s trips and downtown walks are helping her build confidence, and she stays alert but not reactive. She has also begun warming up to a calm 10-year-old neighbor, though she remains most timid around children.
