About Daire
The Luck of the Irish Litter These nine adorable puppies — six girls and three boys — are lovingly known as our “Luck of the Irish” litter, and their story began with their incredible mama, Maureen. Maureen, a sweet 3-year-old, 30-pound “mini” Lab-looking mix, had been on her own for quite some time before finding shelter under a house just as one of our winter snowstorms was approaching. Thanks to a compassionate Good Samaritan who stepped in at just the right moment, Maureen was brought somewhere safe and warm — where she gave birth to her nine beautiful puppies on January 31, 2026. Since then, Maureen has been an amazing mother to her little ones (affectionately called her “potatoes”), making sure they were well cared for while they grew big and strong. Because Maureen spent time surviving on her own, we unfortunately have no idea who dad might be, which makes these puppies a true mystery mixed breed. What we do know is that with their sweet mama’s looks and personalities, these pups are absolutely adorable and sure to grow into wonderful family companions. Now that they are growing quickly, these puppies are starting to show their curious little personalities. They are full of puppy wiggles, tiny tail wags, and plenty of snuggles. As they continue to explore the world around them, they will soon be ready for families who are excited to guide them through all the adventures of puppyhood with love, patience, and training. Daire – Female 4.6 pounds Daire is a sweet and curious pup who loves discovering everything around her. Whether she’s playing with her siblings or investigating new toys, she brings a calm confidence and gentle personality that makes her easy to fall in love with. These lucky little pups will be ready to begin meeting their forever families soon — could one of them be your perfect new best friend? If you are interested in adopting Daire, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
