About Zoey
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Zoey, a sweetheart who is sure to win your heart! She currently thrives in a loving foster home where she impresses with her mellow, calm demeanor. Lately, she's rediscovered her playful spirit—she enjoys tug of war, fetch, and leisurely walks, but is just as content cuddled up beside you for a movie night. Zoey’s foster mom describes her as wonderful on a leash, house trained, crate trained, and proficient with several commands. While she quietly keeps the peace, Zoey is protective when needed and will alert you to visitors at the door. Though she hasn’t met other dogs in her foster home, Zoey has done well with relaxed canine friends in the past and might enjoy a laid-back dog sibling. She adores treats, is highly food-motivated, and rides well in the car—Chikaming preserves are her happy place! She would do best in a home with children aged 10 and up. A home without cats is requested, as she prefers to be the only feline-free friend. Zoey manages hypothyroidism with daily medication, which has greatly improved her quality of life and is affordable to maintain. She sometimes experiences a gentle head tilt and foot drag, but a neurologist has noted these symptoms don’t limit her daily joy—she’s just as capable and happy as ever. Anyone lucky enough to welcome Zoey will experience instant happiness. She’s spayed, about six years old, and weighs approximately 90 pounds. Her gentle, affectionate nature and delightful quirks make her truly special. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
